ACM Nominee is First Female Country Artist to Join Apple Music’s Up Next Program

ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee Ingrid Andress is celebrating another huge career milestone with her Gold-certified debut singleMore Hearts Than Mine.” Making history in 2019 as the only solo-female-debut to crack Top 20 on the Country Airplay chart, the critically-lauded track is again breaking records this week as it arrives inside the Top 10 as one of only two solo-female-debuts, marking the first time in chart history that two women have occupied the Country Airplay Top 10 with their first-ever singles. The poignant ballad is one of eight songs included on her debut album Lady Like, due March 27 (PRE-SAVE HERE), where Andress is featured as a co-writer and co-producer on every song.

This comes on the heels of yet another first in music history accomplished by Andress with Apple Music announcing the singer/songwriter as the first female country artist named to their Up Nextprogram. The monthly artist initiative geared towards identifying, showcasing and elevating rising talent has highlighted a vast roster of artists including Grammy-nominated and critically lauded talent like Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Khalid, Sigrid, Bazzi, Bad Bunny, Megan Thee Stallion, Victoria Monét and more. Fans can check out Ingrid and her Up Next peers on the Apple Music Up Next Playlist now (CLICK HERE).

“As a country artist, it means so much to me to have the Apple Up Next platform to share more of my genre,” Andress shared. “I believe country music is global, because the stories and the emotions are real and universally felt. Stories that connect all of us transcend any genre, definition, or stereotype.”

In addition to appearances on NBC’s TODAY and Late Night with Seth MeyersAndress has received overwhelming critical praise from esteemed outlets like ELLE, Billboard, People, Rolling Stone, Us Weekly, NPR, Variety, Vulture, PAPER, USA Today, HITS and many more. With more national TV performances forthcoming, including a stripped down version of “More Hearts Than Mine” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,  her recent performance during Country Radio Seminar’s annual New Faces of Country Music showcase earned praise from The Tennessean saying “…the writing [is] on the wall. If anyone in this "New Faces" group is destined for great things, it's her.” The accomplished singer/songwriter, who has penned several songs for artists across multiple genres including Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX, FLETCHER and Dove Cameron, will join Thomas Rhett in May for the opening nights of his Center Point Road tour before heading out on Tim McGraw’s massive Here On Earth stadium tour this summer.
